In most cases, you’ll need an ADOT Title and Registration Application, the current title filled out by the previous owner (with an odometer reading for vehicles less than 10 years old), and a valid ID, such as a driver license. Vehicles older than 5 years require an emissions test.

Depending on the type of transfer (out-of-state vehicle, inheritance, private sale, or involves a lienholder) you may also need supporting documents like a Bill of Sale, lien release, Power of Attorney, or Trust document.
