What is an Arizona REAL ID?
An Arizona REAL ID is an enhanced version of your driver license that meets federal security standards for identification. It’s marked by a black or gold star in the upper right corner, showing it’s TSA-compliant.
Starting May 7, 2025, only a REAL ID, U.S. passport, or other TSA-approved identification will be accepted at airport security checkpoints for domestic flights and certain federal facilities.
No REAL ID, or yours won’t arrive in time? Make sure to bring other forms of TSA-approved identification and browse their FAQs before flying within the United States or visiting secure federal sites.
