License Reinstatement

Let Us Get Your Driver License Reinstated

Do you need to reinstate your Driver License?

The Arizona Division of Motor Vehicle (AZ MVD) can suspend or revoke your Driver License following a vehicle or traffic offense, and regaining the privilege to drive again can be a lengthy process. There can be a number of state and federal level court requirements to fulfill in addition to serving a suspension or investigation period if a license was revoked. This may include completing driver education programs, community service, attending court hearings, paying fines, or installing a vehicle ignition interlock device. Both court and MVD requirements must be satisfied to be eligible for reinstatement.

Suspension vs. Revocation

Suspension is a temporary removal of driving privileges, typically following AZ MVD review of a driver’s driving record. Driving privileges remain suspended until AZ MVD approves the application for reinstatement.

Revocation means losing the privilege to drive due to certain driving convictions. After completing the revocation period, driving privileges remain revoked until any necessary investigation of a driving record is completed. Authorization to re-apply for a license is granted upon receiving a “Permission to Reapply Notice” from AZ MVD in the mail.
